Keep in Mind

· Due to the implementation of the Workday system in January 2015, compensation information prior to 1/1/2015 is no longer available.

· Employees on a Salary Compensation Plan are paid monthly, while employees on an Hourly Compensation Plan are paid biweekly.

Steps

1. Log into Workday using your CNetID and password.

2. From the Home page, navigate to your profile by selecting the person icon in the top-right corner of the page, and choosing View Profile.

3. To view general compensation information:

a. Within your profile, select Compensation on the left-side of the page. Two tabs will appear:

i. Compensation – This tab displays compensation information, including Total Salary & Allowances, Total Base Pay, Plan Assignments, etc.

ii. Pay Change History – This tab shows a list of compensation changes, including the Effective Date, Compensation Action, Reason, Total Salary & Allowances, Total Base Pay, etc., for each pay adjustment.

4. To view bonus & one-time payment history, compensation review and total rewards statements:

a. Within your profile, select the Actions button located under your name and title on the left-side of the page, hover over Compensation, and then select one of the following options:

i. View Bonus & One-Time Payment History – Displays all one-time payments received, including details such as Effective Date, Plan, Amount, Reason, etc.

ii. View Compensation Review Statement History – Shows available compensation review statements for download or print.

1. To download or print, select the desired document under the Compensation Review Statement PDF column, and use the Download PDF or Print icons at the top right corner of the screen.

2. Only statements from completed processes are available for downloading or printing. If downloading/printing is not an option, it may be due to security restrictions or unreleased statements.

iii. View Total Rewards – This personalized statement offers a summary of direct compensation (base pay plus variable pay), indirect compensation, and any University-paid benefits for the previous 12 months. It highlights the total compensation package for working at The University of Chicago.

1. Alternatively, this statement can be accessed by selecting Benefits from your profile, and further selecting the Total Rewards tab.

2. Some key elements of the total compensation, such as Paid Time Off (PTO) Benefits, Tuition Benefits, Long Term Disability, etc., are not currently included in this statement due to technical limitations.

3. This statement is intended to provide a summary of an individual's compensation and benefits package. While efforts have been made to ensure this information is accurate, actual pay and benefits may differ. This statement is for informational purposes only.
